![]() What's going on? I can get the exact make and model of the SAS controller but it'll have to be tomorrow morning. It showed me a grub boot failure, because it was looking for /syslinux, but this version of SystemRescueCD only contained directory /isolinux. After USB drive was created, but before Spinrite config, I decided to boot into it just to see what it showed me. I rebooted again back into TrueNAS and it still can't see this one particular hard drive. I created a SystemRescueCD USB drive, with intent to use it for Spinrite. I booted into SystemRescueCD and it too was able to see all eight drives. All you have to do is to install the files that are on the SystemRescue disc to an existing partition on your local disk, that can be either a Linux partition (. I put the 8TB Red back in and rebooted into the SAS controller's BIOS, the SAS controller was able to see all eight 8TB drives. I replace the drive with a random spare hard drive but TrueNAS could't see that drive either. I took the drive out and could feel the platters spinning. ![]() Today I replaced Proxmox with TrueNAS Core 12.0-U3.1 and manually imported the pool so that ZFS would continue using the GPT labels, but the drive in row 2 column 3 was missing. Search for Device Manager using Windows’ search bar or locate it inside the Control Panel. To enable the hard drive, we’re going to use Device Manager. The other day the drive in row 2 column 3 died and I replaced it with the WD Red drive that I had. When your hard drive doesn’t show up in the File Explorer or Disk Management tool, it usually means it’s disabled.
